Adding Monitors Manually
You can add monitor(s) manually with the help of a New Monitor Wizard instead of running the Network Discovery. The wizard is available from program toolbar, as well as from menu.

Once the wizard starts, you are offered to choose a type of monitor to create. Select the appropriate type of monitor and click 'Next'.

On the second page you select the host for the new monitor. Specify either domain name or IP address of the host. You can select an existing host (the one you have already added or discovered) or enter a new host name or address here. The page looks a bit differently for the HTTP(S) and FTP monitors: you only define URL to monitor, and the host is determined automatically.
To start the newly created monitor immediately after creating it, select the 'Start the monitor' checkbox near the bottom of the page.

The third page appears only if you create a new host. It allows to define key properties for this host. You specify a human-readable host display name, indicate the appropriate host group and select whether to access the host by its domain name, or to use the IP address instead. The wizard will present reasonable defaults for these settings which you may want to alter.
